President's Message for June

Hello, everyone, It is hard to believe that the year is half over already. I hope you and yours are doing very well.

We had another great turnout for our general meeting at the Holiday Inn on the Bay. I hope everyone was pleased with the menu and the service. We also had another great opportunity drawing. There were lots of prizes and we raised over $200.00 dollars. All this with most schools out for the summer and the fair starting up.

I want to thank all the purveyors and members who donate their time and money to help make the Chef’s Association run as smoothly as it does. It takes a lot of hard work and special caring from so many different members. I really believe that the officers and members of the board are blessed to work with so many great people and again we thank you.

I want to also thank everyone who donated to the tip basket. Money is tight for everyone and the servers at each location where we have our general meetings are very thankful to receive your donations.

I hope everyone makes it to our special Sunday Picnic at the Elks Club. Our hosts will be Executive Chef Ralph Ford, the Elks Club and the Chef’s Association. This is our one and only kid friendly event! It truly is a family affair. The charge is only $5.00 per person (yes, we do charge for all children) There will be all the summer picnic fixings, very easy parking and a time of 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (that leaves your morning free and you’re out earlier, too.
